Top 10 reaper manufacturers in India — compared on what you can verify.

India has no official ranking of reaper makers, so this list is not a ranking. It is ten manufacturers that publish a crop reaper with specifications on their own websites, listed A to Z with base, models, listed prices and what we could not confirm. Last checked 5 October 2026.

Power reaper machine built in Ahmedabad - Sunidhi Agrotech, one of ten reaper manufacturers compared
Quick answer. India has no official ranking of reaper makers, and no official or independent body publishes company-wise reaper production or sales figures, so no honest list can be ranked. The ten manufacturers below publish a crop reaper with specifications on their own websites, and are listed A to Z: Balwaan Krishi, Greaves Cotton, KAMCO, KisanKraft, Krishitek, Sardar Agro, Shrachi Agrimech, Sunidhi Agrotech, Vasundhara Krishi Yantra and VST Tillers Tractors. Self-propelled models from these makers are listed at roughly ₹1 lakh to ₹1.75 lakh (October 2026).

How this list was made

  • Crop reapers only. A reaper cuts standing crop and lays it in a windrow. Straw reapers (bhusa machines run after a combine), combine harvesters and brush cutters are different machines and are left out.
  • Specs on the maker’s own website. Each company lists a crop reaper model with specifications on its own site, and states a manufacturing base.
  • Prices are listed prices, not quotes. Where a maker publishes a price we use it; otherwise we use a dealer or marketplace listing, and say which. All were seen on 5 Oct 2026 and change by state, dealer and subsidy.
  • A to Z, not ranked. The numbers follow the alphabet, not merit.
Disclosure. This page is published by Sunidhi Agrotech, which is one of the ten. We applied the same criteria to ourselves, kept to the alphabetical order and wrote our entry from our own website. Where we could not confirm something about a company we say so rather than guess. If you spot an error, email info@sunidhiagrotech.com and we will correct it.

Also on the market, but not in the ten

These companies sell reapers or reaper binders but did not meet our criteria on public pages, mostly because specifications or a manufacturing base are not stated on the maker’s own site. They are listed so you can find them, not as a verdict.

  • Mahindra & Mahindra — lists a front-mounted Vertical Conveyor Reaper in its implement range with no specifications; TractorJunction gives a 2,280 mm width for 30–60 HP tractors at ₹60,000.
  • RBD Machine Tools — sells power reapers; its own store lists nine models from ₹1,05,000, five of them seat-type at ₹1,20,000 (5 HP diesel RBD-PR-S) to ₹1,51,000. We could not find a public page stating where they are built.
  • Gayathri Agrotech (Palakkad, Kerala) — named as manufacturer of the PRH-160 reaper (Honda GX160, 1,200 mm) on Honda India Power Products' site.
  • BCS India (Ludhiana, Punjab; subsidiary of BCS S.p.A., Italy) — reaper binders, self-propelled 3-wheel and 4-wheel and tractor-mounted, 4 ft cut, from its own site; ₹3,70,000 for the standard 3-wheel model on its trade listing.
  • Khedut Agro Engineering (Rajkot, Gujarat) and Jagatjit / Saron Mechanical Works (Sunam, Punjab) — reaper binders known mainly from marketplace and aggregator listings.

A note on “reaper manufacturer” lists elsewhere. Marketplace pages that rank for this search often mix in straw reapers and combine harvesters. A straw reaper is a tractor-drawn residue machine used after a combine has passed; it does not harvest the crop. If you want to cut standing wheat or paddy, you are looking at the machines above.

Which type of reaper do you actually need?

Self-propelled walk-behindNo tractor free at harvest; open plots of roughly 2–20 acres₹1,05,000–1,75,000
Seat-type (ride-on)Long harvest days; you want to sit instead of walk₹1,20,000–1,51,000 as a complete machine; seat kit ₹25,000–30,000
Tractor-mountedYou already own a 30–60 HP tractorFrom about ₹60,000 to ₹1,51,200

Is there a government subsidy on reapers?

Under the national Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), the operational guidelines (revised August 2026) give 50% of machine cost to small and marginal farmers, SC/ST farmers, women farmers and farmers of the North Eastern and Himalayan regions, and 40% to all other farmers, subject to a machine-wise cap. For a self-propelled crop reaper (diesel, petrol or battery) the cap is ₹0.85 lakh at 50% and ₹0.68 lakh at 40%; a three-wheel reaper-cum-binder is ₹1.92 lakh / ₹1.54 lakh and a four-wheel one ₹2.60 lakh / ₹2.08 lakh. Payment goes through your state, against machines that carry a valid test report and are on the state’s list, so ask any maker for the test report number before you rely on subsidy. How to judge a reaper manufacturer

Whoever you shortlist, ask the same six questions: where is it built, which engine and drive does it use, what does the written price include (seat, transport, GST), what is the warranty and who services it near you, is there a test report for subsidy, and can you see it cut your crop before paying. Our number 1 reaper manufacturer check turns these into eight checkable measures.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the top reaper manufacturers in India?
There is no official ranking, so no list can honestly be ranked. Ten manufacturers that publish a crop reaper with specifications on their own websites are Balwaan Krishi, Greaves Cotton, KAMCO, KisanKraft, Krishitek, Sardar Agro, Shrachi Agrimech, Sunidhi Agrotech, Vasundhara Krishi Yantra and VST Tillers Tractors. They are listed A to Z with base, models, listed prices and what could not be verified.
Which company is the number 1 reaper manufacturer in India?
No official or independent body in India publishes company-wise reaper production or sales figures, so a number 1 claim cannot be verified for any maker. What can be checked is listed on our page Number 1 reaper manufacturer in India: what can be verified.
How much does a reaper machine cost in India?
In October 2026 listings, self-propelled walk-behind reapers run from roughly ₹1 lakh to ₹1.75 lakh, tractor-mounted reapers from about ₹60,000, and reaper binders from ₹2.45 lakh to ₹3.79 lakh. Prices vary by engine, drive, state and dealer, and subsidy can lower your net cost.
Which reaper manufacturers are in Gujarat?
Sunidhi Agrotech (Kuha, Ahmedabad) and Krishitek Industries (Santej, Ahmedabad) are in the ten above. Khedut Agro Engineering (Rajkot) is known for reaper binders through marketplace listings.
Is there a government subsidy on a reaper machine?
Yes, under the national SMAM scheme: 50% for small and marginal, SC/ST and women farmers and 40% for others, capped at ₹0.85 lakh and ₹0.68 lakh for a self-propelled crop reaper. It is paid through your state against machines with a valid test report, so confirm the report number with the maker.
What is the difference between a reaper and a straw reaper?
A reaper cuts standing crop such as wheat or paddy and lays it in a windrow. A straw reaper is a tractor-drawn machine that collects residue as bhusa after a combine has harvested the grain. Marketplace lists for “reaper manufacturers” often mix the two.
Did GST on reaper machines come down?
Yes. GST on harvesting and threshing machinery was reduced from 12% to 5% with effect from 22 September 2025, so prices quoted before that date may include the older rate.
India mein reaper machine banane wali top company kaun si hai?
India mein reaper machine ki koi official ranking nahi hai, isliye koi bhi company number 1 saabit nahi kar sakti. Is page par 10 companies A se Z order mein hain jinki apni website par crop reaper ke specs diye hue hain: Balwaan Krishi, Greaves Cotton, KAMCO, KisanKraft, Krishitek, Sardar Agro, Shrachi Agrimech, Sunidhi Agrotech, Vasundhara Krishi Yantra aur VST Tillers Tractors.
Subsidy milne par kharch kam ho sakta hai: crop reaper par 50% (chhote aur seemant kisan, SC/ST, mahila kisan) ya 40% (baaki kisan), ₹85,000 aur ₹68,000 ki limit ke saath.
