Machine Overview

Spray that lands where it should.

Chemical is one of the most expensive inputs on your farm. The SAT-B501 exists to make sure every rupee of it reaches the crop instead of the gap between two passes.

01/ OVERVIEW

What it is

The SAT-B501 is a tractor-operated boom sprayer that mounts on a standard 3-point linkage and runs off a 540 RPM PTO. A 500-litre tank feeds an HTP triplex pump, which pushes spray through 21 nozzles spread across a 32 ft folding boom. The boom sections fold in for transport and road movement, then open out for work. Because the pump is a triplex — three plungers rather than one — pressure stays steady instead of pulsing, and steady pressure is what gives you an even droplet pattern from the first nozzle to the twenty-first.

Who it is for

Farms of ten acres and upward where hand-spraying with a knapsack has become the bottleneck, and custom-hire operators who spray for neighbouring farms through the season. If you already own a tractor for a straw loader or a groundnut digger, the same tractor drives this sprayer — you are adding a job, not a vehicle. Cotton, wheat, groundnut and pulse growers see the clearest gain, because those crops need repeat passes at exactly the right moment.

New to boom spraying, or coming from a knapsack? Start with our 7-step calibration guide — it is the single fastest way to cut chemical waste. You can also check whether we already serve your district on the dealer network page.

32 ft Folding Boom

A wide swath means fewer passes, less wheel damage to the crop and a spraying window you can actually finish inside.

21 Nozzles, Even Spread

Consistent nozzle spacing across the full boom keeps overlap uniform — no double-dosed strips, no missed rows.

HTP Triplex Pump

Three plungers deliver steady pressure instead of a pulse, so droplet size stays consistent from the first nozzle to the last.

500-Litre Tank

A long run between refills. Fewer trips to the water point means more of your day is spent actually spraying.

Fits Any 35 HP+ Tractor

Standard 3-point linkage and 540 RPM PTO drive — hitch it to the tractor you already own and go.

Built to Take Chemicals

Tank, plumbing and fittings are chosen for continuous contact with agricultural chemicals, season after season.

Field tip from our service team: spray early morning or late afternoon when the wind is down. A perfectly calibrated sprayer still loses chemical to drift if you run it in the middle of a windy day — and drift is money leaving your field.

Quick Answers

Boom sprayer questions, answered

What tractor does the SAT-B501 boom sprayer need?
Any tractor of 35 HP and above with a standard 540 RPM PTO. The sprayer mounts on a regular 3-point linkage and the HTP triplex pump is driven straight off the PTO shaft — no hydraulic tapping and no modification to your tractor.
How much land can I cover in a day?
With a 32 ft boom you cover a wide swath per pass, and a 500-litre tank runs a long stretch before refilling. Most operators plan around tank refills rather than machine speed — in practice a full working day covers a large block comfortably.
Why do 21 nozzles matter?
Nozzle spacing across the boom is what makes coverage even. Twenty-one nozzles across 32 feet keeps overlap consistent, so you are not double-dosing one strip and starving the next. Uneven coverage is the most common reason a spray ‘does not work’.
Can I change the nozzles for different chemicals?
Yes. Nozzles are a wear item and are meant to be swapped — for a different droplet size, a different chemical, or simply because the old ones have worn wide. We stock genuine replacements and can advise which type suits your spray programme.
How often should I calibrate?
At the start of every spraying season and any time you change nozzles, pressure or speed. Calibration is the cheapest thing you can do to cut chemical cost. Our step-by-step guide walks through it in about twenty minutes.
