The SAT-G601 is a single-row groundnut digger that mounts on a standard tractor 3-point linkage. Its blade is set at roughly 15 degrees, which is the angle that lets it slide beneath the root ball rather than drive into it. As the tractor moves forward, the blade lifts the whole plant — stem, roots and pods together — and lays it out so the crop can be windrowed and dried. There is no PTO drive and no complicated linkage: the geometry does the work, which is exactly why there is so little on this machine to fail during a short, unforgiving harvest window.
Groundnut growers across the Saurashtra belt — Junagadh, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Amreli and Bhavnagar — and anywhere else groundnut is a serious crop rather than a side plot. Hand digging is slow, labour-dependent and, on hard soil, genuinely lossy.
