A 500-litre tank feeds an HTP triplex pump driven by the tractor's 540 RPM PTO, and the pump pushes spray through 21 nozzles spread across a 32 ft folding boom. Because a triplex pump has three plungers, pressure stays steady and the droplet size stays even from the first nozzle to the last.
