This list states its ranking basis: FY26 tractor sales for the first six makers, which hold 98% of the market, and documented revenue for the other four. Nearly every figure has a source link. Last checked 5 October 2026.
Quick answer. By FY26 tractor sales the largest agricultural machinery manufacturer in India is Mahindra & Mahindra (5,05,930 tractors in India), followed by TAFE, International Tractors (Sonalika), Escorts Kubota, John Deere India and CNH Industrial (New Holland). Those six hold 98% of the market. Ranked on documented revenue, the next four are Shaktiman (Tirth Agro Technology, Rajkot), VST Tillers Tractors, Preet Group and Indo Farm Equipment, the last two provisionally.
This list states how it was ranked, in two parts.
Where it is weaker. Revenue years differ for ranks 7–10 because private companies file late, so do not read that part as a same-year revenue table. John Deere India and CNH publish no reliable revenue for FY26, so they are placed on units. Ranks 9 and 10 are provisional: several private makers publish no revenue at all. Kartar Agro Industries (Patiala) also makes combine harvesters, but its two websites give different turnover bands (“> 500 Cr” and “100 – 500 Cr”, neither with a year) and we found no filing or rating report, so it is not ranked. SAME Deutz-Fahr India (Ranipet, Tamil Nadu) reported operating income of ₹1,757.6 crore in FY23 per ICRA, but over 90% of that was exports to its parent group and its domestic tractor share is under 0.5%, so it is not ranked either. Force Motors closed its tractor business in March 2024 (report), and Claas India became Yanmar Agricultural Machinery India in November 2024 (Yanmar release).

Facts were read from company releases, filings, rating-agency reports and the press pages cited in each entry, last checked 5 Oct 2026. The 98% share is our own sum of the table. “Own claim” marks a statement we have not independently verified.
Sold 5,26,403 tractors in FY26 including exports, 5,05,930 of them in India, a record (company release). Its Farm Equipment segment reported consolidated revenue of ₹42,568 crore in FY26 (results). Besides tractors under Mahindra and Swaraj, its machinery arm covers land preparation, sowing and planting, crop protection, harvesting and post-harvest equipment. The annual report states a 43.6% domestic tractor share and farm-machinery revenue of ₹1,354 crore (annual report). The company calls itself the world’s largest tractor maker by volume; that is its own statement.
Founded in 1960; makes Massey Ferguson, TAFE, Eicher and IMT tractors, plus farm machinery, engines and gensets (company page). FY26 sales were a record 2,14,951 tractors including 12,584 exports (company release). Its own “turnover in excess of INR 16,000 crores” states no fiscal year or basis, so TAFE is ranked on tractor units.
Sold 1,80,504 tractors in FY26, an all-time high (company release). ICRA records standalone operating income of ₹9,345.3 crore in FY24 (provisional), a Hoshiarpur plant with 3,00,000 tractors a year of capacity on a three-shift basis, and a 30.36% stake held by Yanmar; it also describes the company as the largest Indian tractor exporter, at about 34% of industry exports in FY24 (ICRA rationale). The Sonalika Group dates to 1969 and began with farm implements.
Sold 1,33,670 tractors in FY26 (Autocar Pro), 1,26,994 of them in India (TractorGyan). Its agri machinery segment revenue was ₹9,779.6 crore, up 15.8%, in the results presentation filed with the NSE on 7 May 2026 (filing). It has a harvester and implements division, and Kubota’s earlier Indian subsidiary has been merged into it.
Sold 98,772 tractors in India in FY26, up 23.82% (FY26 company table); retail registrations were 80,086, a 7.63% share (FADA data). It sells tractors, implements and precision-agriculture products (company page). Its revenue is not published in any reliable source we found, so its place rests on units alone.
Sold 53,225 tractors in India in FY26, up 36.95% (FY26 company table). Its Greater Noida plant reached its 8,00,000th tractor on 12 May 2026 and has a capacity of about 60,000 a year, being raised to 70,000 (Autocar Pro). Autocar Pro reported its turnover at around ₹7,500 crore in 2024, with tractors about 65% of it (article); the article does not say who supplied the figure or which year-end it uses.
A Gujarat company: it says it was founded in 1997 as a spare-parts firm, A.G. Agro Industries (its own claim), and Tirth Agro Technology Pvt Ltd was incorporated in 2000 (CRISIL). It makes tractor-drawn rotary tillers, planters, harrows, balers, sprayers and sugarcane, cotton and paddy harvesters (company site). CRISIL records operating income of ₹1,684.69 crore in FY24 and ₹1,767.21 crore in FY23, 900+ dealers and exports to over 103 countries, and expected more than ₹1,900 crore for FY25, which is a projection (CRISIL rationale). “World’s largest rotary tiller manufacturer” is the company’s own wording, not CRISIL’s.
Makes power tillers, power weeders, power reapers, brush cutters and compact tractors of 17–50 HP (company page). In FY26 it sold 56,243 units: 50,332 power tillers and 5,911 tractors (TractorGyan). Revenue was ₹1,240 crore against ₹994 crore in FY25 (results summary). The company claims more than 70% of the power tiller market; that is its own claim. See its crop reaper on our reaper manufacturers list.
Makes self-propelled and tractor combine harvesters of 75–110 HP, tractors of 35–90 HP and implements (company page). ICRA records group revenue of ₹559.5 crore in FY25, up 20.1%, with 1,826 harvesters sold against 751 the year before, and calls Preet Agro Industries, the group’s harvester maker, one of the prominent market players in the domestic harvester industry (ICRA rationale, August 2025). FY26 revenue was not found; rank 9 is provisional.
Makes Indo Farm tractors and cranes at Baddi (company site). It reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹419.54 crore in FY26, up 14%, of which tractors were ₹201.45 crore and cranes ₹218.09 crore (results summary). Rank 10 is a close call and provisional: Beri Udyog (Fieldking, Karnal), a pure implement maker, reported ₹393.66 crore of total operating income in unaudited FY24 (CARE, September 2024), and we found no later figure for it.
Size is not the only way to judge a farm-machinery maker. Many farmers buy from specialists that build one family of machines well. Sunidhi Agrotech, which publishes this page, is one: from Kuha, Ahmedabad, it builds power reapers, chaff cutters, straw loaders, boom sprayers and groundnut diggers. It is not among the ten largest makers above, and does not claim to be.
Other Gujarat makers we could verify: Shaktiman (above); Captain Tractors, Rajkot, founded 1994 per Wikipedia; Gromax Agri Equipment, Vadodara, formerly Mahindra Gujarat Tractors, owned 60% by Mahindra and 40% by the Government of Gujarat per Wikipedia; and Atlantis Agritech (Rotoking), Rajkot, which makes rotavators and tillers (company site).
