One operator, about an acre an hour, cutting as low as 4 cm: a 5 HP power reaper for the wheat, mustard and bajra harvests of Uttar Pradesh, supplied factory-direct from Ahmedabad.
Sunidhi Agrotech Pvt Ltd builds its power reapers in Kuha, Ahmedabad, and supplies them across Uttar Pradesh through its dealer network there. The self-propelled SAT-R101 runs a 5 HP Greaves diesel engine and the SAT-R102 a 5 HP Honda GX200 petrol engine; both cut as low as 4 cm, cover about an acre an hour and keep crop loss under 0.5%. Uttar Pradesh grew 9.60 million hectares of wheat in 2024-25, the largest wheat area in India, and it produces more milk than any other state, so the straw a reaper leaves whole has a ready use as bhusa. For small, bunded or wet plots, the SAT-R201 differential reaper pivots on its own power and locks both wheels when one slips, and the SAT-S701 seat kit turns any of the three into a riding machine in about 30 minutes. Prices start at ₹1,30,000 factory-direct (₹1,35,000 for the differential), with a 1 year warranty from delivery. Transport is charged separately at actual cost by distance.

Wheat, mustard and soybean all have a short window between ready and lost: mustard shatters, soybean pods split, and wheat left standing lodges in wind and rain. A reaper you own cuts on the day the crop is ready, not the day a hired machine arrives, and because the grain is not threshed inside the machine, the straw comes out whole for bhusa.

In Uttar Pradesh, farm machinery subsidies are applied for through the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department portal (agridarshan.up.gov.in). The central Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) publishes schemes and registered manufacturers at agrimachinery.nic.in. Subsidy amounts and eligibility change by year and applicant category, and most schemes need approval before you buy, so confirm the current terms with the agriculture department before placing an order. We can share the category used in earlier approvals.
