Which crops can a power reaper cut?

A power reaper cuts standing crop near the ground and lays it in a windrow; it does not thresh. Crop height

Bajra, jowar and maize grow tall. The diesel SAT-R101 takes crop up to 10 ft; the petrol SAT-R102 is rated for 2–6 ft.

Short crops

In chana and soybean the lowest pods sit near the soil, so the 4 cm cutting height decides how much comes home.

Shattering crops

Mustard and soybean split their pods when left too long. Owning the reaper means cutting on the right morning.

Soft fields

For paddy and other soft, bunded plots, the SAT-R201 differential locks both wheels when one slips.

Which crops can a power reaper cut?
The SAT power reaper cuts twelve crops: wheat, paddy, barley, oats, soybean, mustard, maize, bajra, jowar, ragi, sunflower and green fodder, and it also cuts chana. It cuts as low as 4 cm and lays the crop in a windrow for threshing.
Can one reaper cut wheat, paddy and soybean?
Yes. The same SAT-R101 or SAT-R102 cuts all three, which lets one machine work the kharif paddy and soybean harvest and the rabi wheat harvest.
Which crops need the diesel SAT-R101?
Tall crops: bajra, jowar and maize, and any crop taller than 6 feet. The diesel SAT-R101 is rated for crop up to 10 ft, while the petrol SAT-R102 is rated for 2–6 ft.
Can it cut barley, oats and sunflower?
Yes. They are among the twelve crops the SAT reaper cuts. Barley and oats are harvested much like wheat; sunflower is taller, so the diesel SAT-R101 is the better fit.
What is the price of a multi-crop power reaper?
The SAT-R101 (diesel) and SAT-R102 (petrol) power reapers start at ₹1,30,000 factory-direct (₹1,30,000 – ₹1,60,000, depending on the engine and whether the seat is bundled).
